Recruited and hired as one of two new Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) senior project managers for

leading the company’s growth plans of developing a small office engineering group into performing full EPC projects.

  · Project manager of business unit’s largest and most complex two-client program including a 150 miles oil gathering

system and a 150 miles water gathering system. Responsibilities included:

  § managing the conceptual design, detailed design, environmental & cultural studies and permitting, procurement,

and support of construction management of the 150 mile oil gathering system and pump station upgrade, and the

detailed design and permitting of the water gathering system;

  § coordination with a "land group" on right-of-way (ROW) and easement acquisitions, including reroutes as

EPC Agreement terms & conditions with a technology switch provision, and a multi-contractor execution plan.

Includes portions of the project on federal BLM land requiring NEPA compliance, special permitting for

endangered species, and ongoing environmental, cultural, and paleontological monitoring during construction.

  · Closed contracts and developed execution plans for two 20 MW conventional utility scale solar PV projects for

handover to and management by other mid-level project managers.

Responsible for managing utility scale wind power projects.

  · Managed internal teams of sales, legal, finance, engineering, supply chain, equipment transport, import/export,

tooling, commissioning, warranty, and O&M personnel in negotiating contracts and executing wind power projects.

  · Notable or special accomplishments included:

  § being chosen project manager for handling company’s key account project developer/owner;

  § a first wind power project on the island of Puerto Rico requiring unique ocean transport, evaluation of an

acceptable ocean port, development of relations with government officials and electric utility representatives, and

an atypical site safety program within a high-homicide-rate area;

  § developing and managing an action plan for successfully recovering a project schedule that included the

company’s most aggressive deliveries of a new turbine model with manufacturing delays; and

  § being originally hired due to my broad EPC experience and company’s strategic plan to develop a turbine

manufacturer EPC execution approach.

Responsible for all strategy, business development, group systems, employee hiring & management, contracts

management, project management, and personal execution of specific project work.

  · Management of wind project development and designs, including feasibility studies, met tower and SoDAR

installation, wind resource data collection, geotechnical investigations, FAA/radar/microwave analyses,

foundations/roads/collection system conceptual designs, interconnection applications, WTG model evaluations,

O&M building layout, and coordination with transmission group for substation and transmission line designs.

  · Directed the upgrade of computer modeling systems for computational fluid dynamics (CFD) wind resource

assessments including WindSim software and 3Tier mesoscale data. Also managed staff engineers in using ArcGIS,

Global Mapper, WAsP, WindFarmer, Windographer, and WTG power curves for supporting wind project designs,

micrositing, constructability reviews, wake loss analyses, flicker/noise analyses, and power estimates.

  · Selected for a “Directors’ Challenge” focus group of top, key employees for developing the company’s vision.

  · Led a cross-discipline team in evaluating project management software platforms and options.

  · Chartered a new offshore wind team with design capabilities in the foundation structure, cathodic & scour

protection, undersea cabling, and appurtenances and navigation aids. Included participation in a U.S. Offshore

Wind Standards Committee and research of Certified Verification Agents (CVAs).

  · Wind Projects: Management of: i.) collection system & transmission line designs, and transmission interconnection

WTG delivery; and iii.) WTG foundation designs. Development of: i.) a 63MW design-build project team, project

  · Geothermal Project: Management of an Abu Dhabi, UAE based exploratory geothermal resource drilling program into

two geological formations. Included directional drilling, civil works improvements for site drilling pads and water

supply, facilitation of drilling mud and high specific gravity drilling fluid planning for positive pressure at one

formation with H2S present, and planning of an H2S monitoring program at the wellhead and property boundary.

  · Various Technologies: For the Ireland Industrial Development Authority, performed an onsite & centralized power

generation study at multiple sites including biomass, CHP, geothermal, hydro-kinetic, solar, and wind technologies.
